The Indonesia currency is Rupiah. Notes come in denominations of Rp. 1.000, Rp. 2.000, Rp. 5.000, Rp. 10.000, Rp. 20.000, Rp. 50.000, and Rp. 100.000. Coins come in denominations of Rp. 100, Rp. 200, Rp. 500, and Rp. 1000.
Banking hours are Mondays to Fridays : 08.00 hrs to 15.30 hrs. Most banks handle travellrs’ cheques and change foreign currencies.

Foreign currencies can be changed in money changers or gold stores.
